Department of Children English Education (CEE) was founded in August, 2000. The main goal of founding the department was to train qualified English teachers for elementary schools. 

The department frequently sponsors lectures, seminars, workshops and activities with international universities and invites renowned scholars to give keynote speeches. Students are encouraged to travel overseas, experience academic programs abroad, especially practicum overseas, and international extra curriculum activities in order to expand their global views. 

The graduate program was founded in August, 1998. The program was the very first program in Taiwan to cultivate educators and researchers specialized in children English education. The program accepts all candidates who are interested in the field of children English education.  For those students who do not have a teacher’s training background may take the elementary school education curriculum alongside the graduate program.  The objectives of the master program is to build the professional knowledge for English teachers in elementary schools, to explore studies and research in Children English Education and to cultivate leaders and decision-makers for Elementary School’s English Education

Students’ Future 

The graduates are all qualified and certified English teachers for elementary schools and are fully trained in four skills, listening, speaking, reading and writing.  They are ready to serve in any field related to language art, language teaching, and developing materials for children English education.
